I have definitely had this quite a few times as of late. I was actually recording something with epsxe. This program is already unstable enough as is, so it usually never worked if I didn't have it in windowed mode. That seemed to cause this to crash more often. But as of now, I'm not sure why this happens. Although, when I first started noticing the crashes was when I tried it with Steam -- which always worked fine before I tried to update.
I'm using MP4 as my conversion type. Here's some information about my computer:
Installed Memory : 16 GB
Processor Intel (R) Core(TM) i7-4790k CPU
Graphics Card: AMD Radeon R9 200 Series (and I did check for updates on this as well).
Computer Type: Desktop.
# of Displays: 1. I'm using a Haier television for my monitor. The resolution is 1360 x 768 Orientation Landscape.
Yes, I am using other USB for external audio. It's a microphone microphone -- CAD u37 is the model.
If it means anything, I'm actually on Windows 8.1.
Video size is 720p. I have heard that turning detect framerate stops the issue from occurring, but at the time of failure, it was on.
Also, if it means anything, windows STILL prompts me to update Action! Even after already reinstalling it and such, which leads me to believe that it might not be fully updating at least to the point that windows itself can recognize the update.
It's also worth noting, that the crashes seem more likely to happen the longer the recording is. So if you record something for 30 minutes, then stop, and then recording, it seems less likely to crash than if you recorded for an hour. ALSO, it should be noted that if you start and STOP it seems more likely to crash as well assuming that you have not turned Action off. I found that it crashed less frequently if I did a recording-- stopped, and then closed Action and then reopened it again.
