[Help] Converting H265 to H264 1080p

Postby MusicaGray » Tue Jan 31, 2017 7:59 am

Good day, Ive recently decided to try the top Nvidia Codec in Action!, It seems like the video is extremely high quality of which I am really satisfied about, but I cannot open it in my main video editing software, nor upload it to YouTube.

I decided to try to convert that H265? video to something that my video editor & YouTube can take, I'd like to try to keep as much as the HD as I can of my current video, but then again, my video is useless unless I have it on the right format, Using Splash 2.0, 2 options were given to me, export (Which I hope it stands for convert) my video to either 1080p Main profile / Normal or High quality, or 1080p High profile / Normal or high quality. So I guess my question is this, which of the 2 options would you guys recommend to try to keep as much as the current HD my video has and yet, meet the standard for YouTube uploading / Video editing (Which I believe is H264? 1080p)

Thank you in advance!

Hello,

we recommend using High profile with high quality. Also for beter quality you can set higher bitrate.
More about YouTube upload settings you can find here: https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/1722171?hl=en
