I have just tried to play this file but Splash 2.0.1 crashed :?

Same here. I would guess, it's because of XAVC Codec and a too high bitrate.
But no problems here in PotPlayer Portable. :)

:idea: Also I think, they maybe should add an Info in the Tab "System Requirements", which GPU is minimum required for smooth (VPU decoding..better known as "Hardware Acceleration",...otherwise it's only hybrid decoding via CPU + GPU Shader) Ultra-HD 1 & 4k Playback in H264 & HEVC/H265 and 30fps and/or 60fps.
