Windows 11 Auto HDR

Hello Devs,

i played the last Days with auto HDR from Windows 11 and get out that i can Capture it, when i use the display capture.

With Game Capture it didnt capture the HDR and cut the size of the video.

It will be fine when it is posible to get Auto HDR stream with Game Capture too.

OS: Windows 11
Video Card: AMD 6900xt Nitro+
Memory: 32 GB @3800 MHz
Monitor Resolution: 3440x1440 up to 5120x2160 (new < Game > old)

Game Problem: In every Game it comes whene HDR Capture is on and Action!4 cant get the HDR "signal" the resolusio cut down
Video Type: MP4 is set

Auto HDR feature works outside of game rendering loop. It tinkers the rendered frame before outputing it on display. That it is why game mode does not record it and screen mode does. Also it is not true HDR, game is in SDR but with just boosted gamma. About the resolution problem: we cannot recreate this in our lab. Does the issue occur with every game?

Hello and thanks for the fast answer...

The problem with the cut of the size is in evry game when you setup this:

AMD AMF HDR10
A Resolusion of any size in 21:9 (16:9 not testet)
And a outputsize (Ithink) bigger then the resolusion of the Game are played

Whene you setup original size it is not cut in size and all fine.

The Days i can say you if it is only on AMD Cards. I Have buy a 3050 only for the Stream itself.

Thanks for the lessen with Auto HDR... so i can handel it right now

When i have Time i make another test for the cut in resolusions. But can say whene i have HDR for the Source aktive, its was every time cut whene i not chose original as size. Only in 3 Games i have seen this. The other i stream over the game capture and not the screen itself.

I can also make a Video where you can see it and let it come to you via PN when i have the time.

I have played a bit around and can say that the resulusion only cut whene a AMD GPU is in juse on NVIDIA GPUs this didnt happen.
