Mic Push to talk doesn't always register

Hello! I record my mic with a push to talk. When I press another button before using the push to talk, it won't record.
For example: I hold W to walk and then I press CAPS to talk while walking. Action! won't record my voice. I've tried starting in admin mode to no avail.
