It still happens with the latest version of Action. Please read my post where I mention having my USB audio interface plugged in seems to cause this issue with me!

Fix didn't work, customer service ignoring my emails. Most expensive desktop icon ever.

 Alright I'm sick of this not working so I'm ready to put some effort in to help get it resolved. I have been having the same issue, Action! crashes during the save process. This has been happening to me for a long time (at least 6 months). Took another crack at it tonight, here's what I found.

Some games work and some games don't. Ones that work, the video file is saved properly, playback looks (and sounds) fine. Ones that don't work, crash Action! during the save process. All the games continue to play just fine, it's only Action! that is crashing.

Games that work:
Payday 2
Minecraft
The Forest

Games that cause a crash:
Left 4 Dead 2
Team Fortress 2
7 Days to Die
Half Life 2 Deathmatch
Starcraft 2

It's worthwhile to mention something else that I noticed. For the games that cause a crash, I could record just fine from the main menu. Only when I loaded a game and began playing did I get a crash. The only exception to this rule was Starcraft 2 which caused a crash from both the menu and from actual gameplay. So there you go. Anyone else care to verify the games they're having trouble with? (As well as the ones that work)

Here is some info in case you need it---------

Updated video drivers to latest (359.06)
Updated Action to latest (1.29)

Video quality: Normal
Bitrate (MP4): 100%
Hardware acceleration: NVIDIA NVENC
File format: MP4 (NVIDIA NVENC)
Video framerate: 30

Windows 8.1 Pro x64
AMD FX-8350
MSI 990FXA-GD80 (MS-7640)
16GB DDR3
GeForce GTX 970

Action! 1.29.0.0, SLI on 4-way Titan X.
I can confirm that it works now!
Managed to record some Alien isolation game play.. too bad that resolution is limited by encoder so 11712x2140 is recorded at 3840x706, loosing some full res details but I guess it would be hard to record full resolution anyway.

Recorded an test with Alien: Isolation, it will be here, encoding still in process but should be up in couple minutes:

Hi there, I'm experiencing Action! 1.29.0.0 crashing with the following settings:

Video Recording Settings:

Recording mode: Games and applications
File format: MP4, MP4 Intel Quick Sync Video and MP4 Nvidia NVENC
Video size: 720p
Video framerate: 60
Duration: 10m
Time-shift: no
Record system sounds: yes
Allow multi-channel audio recording: no
Microphone: Do not record

Audio Recording Settings:
Duration: blank
Output format: MP4 Audio
Allow multi-channel audio recording: no
Record silence: yes
Microphone: Do not record

I can confirm that Action! only crashes in any of the MP4 file recording formats but works with AVI and no, I do not use any external USB audio devices.

Hi guys, I've been having the same problem with Action freezing when trying to save my recording in mp4. I have the current version 1.29.0.0. Oddly enough, when I was running older versions of action I never had this problem, this is a new issue and it happpens any time the video longer than a few minutes.

If I set Action to save in AVI, it has no problems but this not that convenient for me because the file sizes are huge (about double that of mp4. So I'd really like to have this issue fixed so I can deal in mp4. Thanks
