It would be wonderful if we could assign profiles for different games, so when we launch a game the timeshift settings would change automatically.
For instance, I only do 30s timeshift withing shooters, but between 5 and 12 minutes with my racing sims.

I'm just going to echo what a few others have requested here as well.

More Audio Tracks and Sources

I've really wanted to have it work the way I've set OBS up when recording offline. Unfortunately even if I went with a paid streaming software with multiple audio, I still get terrible FPS when recording on those. Even if my game runs 60fps, the recordings on competing software is terrible and dropping considerably from 60fps down to 23. It was absolutely unacceptable.

I turned back to using Action since it continually churns out the best footage I've ever captured. It's just that I can't have a separate channel for my discord / comms with other friends and it severely impacts the flexibility in post-production. Having more separate channels would be amazing.

I will follow with some suggestions which need to be added in the next build as software like OBS is already capable of doing this for free.

1. If we record Microphone in a seperate Audio track "Action" still turns the volume of the Microphone down since over a Year now. This needs to go. If my Microphone is 99% and System sounds is 1% it cant be that the System sounds are still louder then the microphone one when im using a pro setup of Microphone and sound card.

2. Let us adjust the volume of Microphone and System sound without while increasing one we automatically lowering the other. This is just completely pointless as it does literally nothing when u have to edit the recording afterwards anyway while action ignores your settings! See point 1 for that.

3. Get rid of of the "press A to switch between audio tracks" as this feature is completely pointless for anyone who uses "Action" in a professional way. If i put the recording of it into "Sony Vegas" or other similar editing programs i get only 1 audio track with both "system sound" and "microphone sound" on the same audio track. Which makes editing any of those sounds seperatly absolutely impossible.
Whoever thought this was a good idea has no idea of sound editing.

4. I never used "Action" to render anything as it lacks to much for me in that department. If this wants to be changed you need to add some editing features for our footage as well as some effects for us to use.

5. Let us record multiple audio tracks at once. Free software already manages up to record 6 different audio tracks. While in Action we still have trouble with 2. This needs to be fixed at least before adding the feature of recording even more new audio tracks

Thats all from me so far. but point 1 to 3 are the most important to me. Its annoying and makes no sense to me and im sure im not the only one.

Hey guys, any update on multi track recordings? ie. at least 3? Think you can see from this thread it's something people really would like to see implemented.

Wishlist for Action
1) Being able to add in streaming elements such as stream noticications such as Twitch Alerts, alerts for followers, subscribers, donations, hosts, etc
2) Being able to have an editble overlay for streaming that can be edited. Having elements such as webcam are nice but being able to add twitch chat to the side of the stream without having to interupt the game your playing to show the chat.
3) To be able to select one application to stream, instead of streaming what the monitor is showing

I would like to second DSM here. I'm streaming more now than recording nowdays. This is the trend since YT is screwing the motivation out of the little guys.
Also be able to adjust volumes without a restart would be nice too

Hi there, I would love to see this features in future release.
  • Separate Audio Source, like Mic, Game and Discord
  • Separate Webcam video source, to have webcam as a video in Premiere for example
  • More option for Webcam, like 180° turn
Thanks

With Action 2.8.0 you can now indeed separate out game sound, mic and Discord/TS/Mumble into separate audio tracks. I've tested it and it works just fine for me. If anyone would like some screen shots / setup guide let me know and I can do that when I get back home from work.

It wold be great to be able to use one of the mouse buttons as a hotkey. This way I could record microphone at the same time when I'm talking on VOIP instead of recording microphone noise while I'm not talking.
