Everytime I open Action, my screen flickers then goes black

Gameplay recording , desktop and web videos recording, music recording...

Everytime I open Action, my screen flickers then goes black.

I tried using the newer version of action (Mirllis 1.19.2) The flickers and shut up of monitor doesn't happen on that version, However I purchased that version of action, and I just the 1.14.2 version.

Anyway, point is Mirllis action 1.14.2 is not working so well for me, every time i open it my screen flickers and my comp turns black, only way to have comp working again is by shutting down and restarting.

IS ANYONE GOING TO HELP ME WITH THIS?!?!?
I love Action and its amazing performance but seriously its support service????

Help me, i've been searching for days now and everyone is ignoring this subject, i suppose there isn't a fix for this! WHY WOULDN'T THERE BE A FIX, THIS IS A BIG PROBLEM.

I had the same problem... First make sure your not on custom screen region or desktop recording. It seems to work on application recording for me. You can also try uninstalling Mirillis Action by going to: Charms Bar -> Search -> Type in "Control Panel" -> Programs -> Uninstall a Program -> Find and Uninstall Action! -> Go to File Explorer -> In the search bar at the top right type in "REGEDIT" -> click on the broken cube looking thing that's called "regedit.exe" -> in the menu bar go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER -> Software -> Then delete the "Mirillis Folder" -> Close REGEDIT -> go back to file explorer -> go to your C Drive -> Program Files x86 (if you dont have program files x86 folder go to program files) -> delete Mirillis folder -> Then re-install Mirillis Action!!! Hopefully that will fix your problem!!! :D :lol:

I have tried uninstalling it countless times and to no avail my action still flickers then crashes it also doesn't show the frame rate in the top left of the screen and crashes my computer. I need a fix for this I just bought this and its already broken

guys, i registered to this forum only to tell you that the fix for it is the dumbest thing ever... just click your action shortcut with the right button, go to properties, compatibility and set it to run as if in windows 7. done. action works perfectly...
so sorry for all of us who couldnt figure it out back then.... =[

I'm having this problem as well (it's a new issue for me, I've used Action for years with no problem before). I've tried reinstalling my video driver, uninstalling Action (including deleting the registry keys), launching in compatibility mode for Windows 8, and still I have this issue where opening Action causes my screen to flicker and then go black. How can I fix this?
