whats the difference bewteen home use and commerical use?

im going to be honest here what honestly is the difference? i make youtube content and yes i do indeed monteize my videos but so what? why do i need to spent an extra 20$ for what exactly? what exactly is the difference? in software? i use a free video screen recorder right now i dont use a licence for that guys be honest with me is that just a waste or is it really necessary?
