action killing FPS while recording

Wed Sep 18, 2013 2:13 pm

I purchase the Action app. because of the perfromance of games while recording.

My system is the following

Intel I5-3570
20 gigs of RAM
Asus Nforece GTX 680 with 2 Gigs of RAM
my main drive is the Samsung SSD 840 Pro 256 gigs. I still have 140 gigs of free space on this drive available.
Drive D is a Western Digital Black 1 TB drive
Drive E is a Western Digital Black 750 Gig drive
Window 8 Pro 64 bit

I was trying to make a video of BF 3 with out recording i am getting 120 FPS. but when i start recording i get around 30 FPS.

I have tried all the differnt settings using AVI and MP4. i have tried 60 FPS and all the way down to 30 FPS. and changing it from 180 all the way to 480 resolution sizes it still drops my FPS to around 30. once i shut off the recording it always goes back to 120 FPS.

is there a setting that I am missing??

Does your actual framerate drops to 30 fps or just HUD shows 30?

The HUD drops to around 30 and i can definetly tell that the game is lagging while recording.
