Why can't I render in .MP4?!

I asked on this forum several times a similar question, but never got a direct answer. I've tried alternative methods to render PC gameplays, but they don't work as well as I want them to. I've tampered with the .wmv file template so that after I render and play it in Window Media Player it looks EXACTLY as I want it to: perfect HD quality. But when it uploads, it looks like crap. I need to know how I can render my PC Action! recorded gameplays in .mp4 format with Sony Vegas. Can SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME?!

I don't think this program works with Vegas. :/ I'm having the same issues.

Have you tried rendering your files into MP4 in Action! first and then import them into Sony Vegas?

Do you have any codec packs installed on your PC? I can successfully import all my files int Sony Vegas.

I don't know if I have any codec packs, but I don't have problems using the files in Sony Vegas 11, only rendering them in .mp4.
