Action 1.17.1 bugs / errors / problems

I've just upgraded from 1.16.3 (which works perfectly)

I've recorded two videos in Game mode, 720p60, QuickSync enabled using Virtu MVP 2.0

I'm getting a ton of framedrops, and skips, and crazy

the big video was not so bad, but the small one is really bad

After installing 1.17.1 today, the first desktop recording it made after that failed. When I stopped the recording, Action just got stuck and hung without properly closing the file. Rebooted the computer and now it seems to be working ok.

I feel the games/applications mode is practically pointless in this version. The screen recording mode lets the HUD show up in my games automatically which i find very convenient, no need to alt-tab after launching a game anymore i guess that's what it meant with continuous recording.

However i have some problems too: Just Cause 2 crashes every time i hit record as well as Mafia 2 (after launching a chapter). With 1.16.3 i was able to record Just Cause 2.

When i launched it after hitting record on desktop to see how it would go, my screen flickered and turned green for a second, then i got a box saying "Just Cause 2 stopped working ".

Oh and Steam Overlay works pretty well now with Screen mode, it even lets me record it.

I have been using action for a while and never have experienced any problems, however since updating to 1.17.1 on opening of the application my PC has displayed vertical lines and then shut down. I have re-installed the software numerous times however this has not solved the problem. I also restored my computer to factory settings but this has made no difference so for now I am sticking with a slightly older version which still works fine. If anyone knows a fix for this please could they reply.

Please try updating your Action! to 1.17.3.
