Crashing with video quality at ultra

Hi

I have been having this issue for a while but just decide to post it, since i bought my new system i can't record with the video quality setting at ultra,
recording settings, mp4/MPEG-2 TS, amd AMF hardware acceleration, 1080p, 120fps, VFR, bitrate 100%, multi core recording enable.

What happens is, i have time shift on, i launch CSGO and everything is fine it records the main menu but when i enter a match while the map is loading the game minimizes and action crashes, dying light 2 once i get to the main menu action crashes, same thing with A plague tale requiem, i think the difference between CSGO and the others has to do with high load on the GPU, CSGO only uses 20/30% GPU in menu, the others are at 90%+.

Might also just be issues with the amd AMF encoder.

Ryzen 7900x3D
Rx 7900xtx
windows 10 pro 22h2 build 19045.3086

Stuff i use that might be interfering with action:
AIDA 64
MSI Afterburner
Rivatuner
Spacedesk Driver (using android device has wireless monitor)
Private internet access VPN
wallpaper engine
Microsoft - phone link
Corsair Icue
Logitech G HUB
Teamviewer
Riot vanguard anti-cheat which we know is always running

Side note, i don't know if the devs are working on integrating the AV1 encoder but it would be great to have specially for AMD users who are stuck with the AMF encoder (insert vomit emoji here lol) , the new MPEG-2 TS format actually helps, the overall quality is better than using mp4, so thank you guys for that.

Looks like it is crasing in AMF encoder.
Try updating AMD drivers and see if that helps: https://www.amd.com/en/support/graphics ... rx-7900xtx

The issue has been consistent for the last 3 months, through multiple driver iterations, i also found if i try to force the bitrate the same behavior occurs in the games i mention in the post, i can have it at 69,7 Mbps but anything above that crashes action or the AMF enconder as you suggested, also forgot to mention that action detects 2 RX 7900xtx for some reason (

), i've switched between the 2 and a tried to leave it at auto the issue still persists. I only have the one RX 7900xtx.

It is very bizzare, this second GPU on the list.
Try recording in 60 fps and see if something change.

Tried 60 fps still crashes but i tried 30 just for kicks and it works no crashing so it probably is overloading the encoder, i also checked if windows was somehow detecting 2 RX 7900xtx and i found conflicting results i've attached 3 screeshots the first 2 show one gpu but the last is of the windows graphics settings and it shows to options for the rx 7900xtx but it may only be like it says, just power saving mode, but in the past with other systems in the power save was the integrated GPU not the main one.

Also forgot to mention that i use a different file system as default in windows, its just called "FILES", it has caused weird bugs with other apps so may as well mention it.

I was reading previous patch notes of action and i saw that av1 was coming so i don't really mind living with this for a few months, thx for your time.

Just reposting the screenshots that didn't upload correctly last time, i've also tested the new v.4.35.0 version and the issue still occurs, the ai webcam feature is a nice add on, ty you guys.

What new features are you most excited about in the latest version of Action? I've been using the previous version for a while now and I'm curious to know if the update offers any major improvements or enhancements. I haven't upgraded to the latest version yet. The features in the old version are working great on my device. I also don't expect breakthrough improvements.
