Could somebody help me?

I bought Action! a long while ago and it worked fine. I stopped using it for a while and then when I got back to it there was a problem. Every time I try to end a recording Action! stops working and I'm forced to shut it down. When I restart it my recording is corrupted and won't open. I'm not sure what's happening and would like it resolved as quickly as possible (especially seeing as I spent a solid $50 on this thing and barely used it...)
