Hey!

So I'm using Action! and I was wondering. Which "File Format" is the best one to use for recording gaming videos?

I have theese to pick between:

AVI
MP4
MP4 (Intel Quick Sync)
MP4 (NVIDIA NVENC)
MP4 (NVIDIA NVENC HEVC)

Which one would be the best if I want the BEST quality possible. I do not care of file size or anything. Just want the best quality possible.

My hardware spec:

Code: Select all

Operating System: Windows 10 Pro 64-bit
CPU: Intel Core i7 6700K @ 4.00GHz Skylake
RAM: 16GB 
Graphic Card: NVIDIA Gainward GeForce GTX 1080 Phoenix GLH

Would love if someone could share which one is best for the HIGHEST quality =)

Everyone has it perks. If you want to go for the best quality but don't care for disk space select AVI. If you would like to get a good quality and low file size select MP4 HEVC.
