Problem with Action! - FICV Codec

Fri Jun 14, 2013 12:31 pm

Hello everyone,
I downloaded the Free Trial of Action!, and was amazed by the quality of the soft. But I've got a "big" problem. In fact, when I try to view what I captured in .AVI, with a soft like VLC or Media Player, it is said that I don't have the codec for FICV.
I know that it is possible just to convert it directly to .mp4, but their is a high lose of quality.

So, is there any solution ? (Knowing that viewing the video directly whith Action! works well.)

(Action! version : 1.14.2.0)
Thank you.

You need to use player that supports external decoders, e.g. MPC-HC.
Desktop (Intel i7-970, ATI 5870, Windows 7 x64)
Acer Aspire TimelineX 3830TG (Intel i5-2410M, nVidia GT540M, Windows 7 x64)
PS Vita, Nokia N8

Oh, ok, thank you. I'll try it, and let you know about issues I could encounter.

Thanks for the quick answer.

I am facing a similiar problem:

Whenever I try to edit my captured videos in any software, they lose quality - I guess that happens because they do not have the FICV Codec.

Does anyone have a solution here?
