Most of GPU based video players don't support it too since GPU can't decode 4:2:2
It's not a standard format for home users.
Pro users always use software decoding (CPU) for their works since it's more flexible for workstation.

Anyway, 4:2:2 videos from pro camcorders are getting popular in internet.
Like many topics before, I hope to see this feature soon too :)

4:2:2? This topic is about 10-bit depth, though GPU's also can't decode it. And standart renderers (like EVR) can't process it.
It's now standart for anime (as well as stylized subtitles)... And it's also effective even with live video, even if input was with 8-bit color depth.

Yes, the video can be 10-bit 4:2:0 too.
