Why and How do this Site Still Exist?! Splash is Dead!

Tue Dec 15, 2015 4:44 pm

Hello, I have not made a post in much time.

This was a very good community, and Splash Pro EX is dead.

But look at the competition,

KODI, MPC-HC, VLC, etc still going on.

SO I make a suggestion. Put this Splash Player on Git Hub and let the community continue it. Open Source it include the Codec design etc.

I think the truth was, The Codecs itself are the problem to License and maybe Very Expensive. This is why we Open Source. We find out How things work and Reverse engineer it. Often the END Result is even better than the Original.

Anyway, for $20 this was a great product but now there is no updated since 2013, or even News. Don't think I would want an update that would break things so atleast the Developer did not screw up the product before jumping off the ship.

Thanks for many great year and the most beautiful easy to use Player.

Exactely P.J, but don't forget VP9 10bit ;)
(http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?p ... ost1754269).

And also REAL 4k (4096x2160p) support, not only Ultra HD-1 (3840x2160p) and not only 30fps.

Also I would like to see an option for playback in Videospeed x2 or more.
As long as all these options doesn't exist, Splash 2.0 is absolutely uninteressting for me,
since I discoverd PotPlayer(Portable) in November 2015. :D
