What's new in Splash PRO EX 1.9.0?

* Major Motion² video quality improvements
* Improved MPEG-2 software decoding performance

Update includes major Motion² video quality improvements, artifacts number should be significantly reduced.
This version also solves a problem with application initialization ("This application cannot be executed. ERRORS:
0x8009000f, 0x8009000b, 0x8009000f, 0x8009000b" and other error numbers).

why there is still not support for pre defined size / more fonts and BOLD subtitles?

My bugs and problems list for Splash PRO (and EX) 1.9.0:

1) After version 1.5.0 exit till now doesn't work hardware deinterlacing on 60i source on radeon video card; (Partially solved, but on some video files doesn't work hardware deinterlacing) - I have sent sample
2) Not support 'ASS' and 'SUB' (from DVD) Subtitles;
3) On subtitles 'PGS' it is not displayed more than two lines;
4) On the menu opening by the right button of the mouse, doesn't work keyboard (arrows) - it is impossible to use remote controls;
5) Not support chapter in mkv;
6) Not support name track in mkv (support only track language);
7) Not support 4.0 (quadro) audio setup;
8) Incorrectly decodes 6.1 FLAC and LPCM audiotracks (in mkv video files) for stereo audio-configuration (without center and sub chanell);
9) Not played wav audio files;
10) (New bug!) Playing of some files mkv (blu-ray remux) stops with an error and incorrect closing of the program; - I have sent sample
11) (New bug!) If at playing mkv a file to be switched from AC3/DTS audiopaths on LPCM audiopaths, such switching occurs long and as a result there is a wrong synchronization of a sound and the image - it is necessary to stop and again to start play.

Everything seems to be fine with the new version.. There are still some artifacts in Motion2 Plus (I am using the Ultra mode). I hope that they get fixed totally soon. There are also some features I would like to see in Splash Pro EX.

1) Hardware encoding with ATi Radeon cards. Or using OpenCL layer for all GPU acceleration would be more universal?
2) Support to add subtitles for encoded videos. Such as "Handbrake" application can slip stream videos to MP4 container and can be seen on iOS devices or can be turned off..

And I have one bug I am not sure if its 1.9.0 specific.. I tried dozens of mkv movies with Splash. Only the Pirates of the Caribbean series do not let me enable Motion2 Plus I tried disabling auto deinterlacing, renaming files etc.. Any clues?

Subtitles improvements are planned but it is not our priority at the moment.
We do not plan susbtitles to be improved for upcoming update.

For the problem with Motion2 please try to disable "AUtomatic interlace detection" in Settings/Video.
