Faster Frame Rates

I have recently come across Splash player and thought I'd give it a try. Upon installation, the HD videos are playing without jerks but, much to my surprise, the frame rates of all the videos are a tad faster than the other players. For example, if a video plays at 1x speed in other players, the videos in the Splash player are being played at 1.5x-2x by default. Is there any way I could fix this issue? Would be grateful if someone provides assistance. :)

My laptop's config: Windows 7 Ultimate (64 bit), Intel Core i5-2410M, 6 GB RAM, 2 GB nVIDIA GT 540M GPU, 500 GB HDD.

Are you sure that it plays video faster?
If you have never seen motion interpolation before it may look like video is playing faster... However it just have more frames per second (so it's smoother, not faster), but the speed is the same.
Anyway, you can turn MotionĀ² in the playback option ("o" shortcut).
