I agree with you too. For example in CPU mode, it's more limited than GPU but much less than Overlay which is bad.

I think this is the best way. Try it.

Hello - I finally had time to take a few shots with my camera to illustrate. My projector (Panasonic AE2000) has something called Waveform monitor which allows you to "see" the video levels of a horizontal line within the screen. This is very handy to quickly see video levels, etc.

In this screenshot

On the left side you see Splash-pro and on the right side you see Media Player Classic HC (MPC-HC). You can see that the video level in the left is offset (see the waveform analyzer on the top of the screen) by 16 and it is OK in MPC-HC.

I've tried different settings:

Same issue:

The only combination that I get the right levels with is by disabling video overlay:

HOWEVER, eventhough Motion2 is enabled in the configuration settings, Motion2 IS NOT ACTIVE when disabling video overlay so I cannot effectively use Motion2 with the correct (RGB) levels in my setup (ATI 6850 w/ Catalyst 11.6, Windows 7 64-bit ).

NOTE: I've restarted Splash PRO each time I've applied the settings.

Just to check what you mean, don't you mean enabling video overlay? The default setting for "force video overlay" is unchecked, i.e. off.

What about this:

- HW acceleration disabled and Motion2 disabled and Overlay disabled

I've tested it a bit more:

- Force video overlay checked: No matter what I do, video levels are WRONG.

- Force video overlay UNchecked: Video levels OK, but Motion2 does not work (video is not smooth as it is when Motion2 is working)

Any ideas?

Would you upload the video?

Have you tried with and without HW acceleration too?

Motion2 does not work with force video overlay disabled?
