Pixelation/Distorted colours when using motion2 1.2.x

Sat Oct 30, 2010 4:36 am

I have this issue where video gets pixelation and distorted colours in the latest versions of splash pro when using motion2, this problem did not occur in 1.1.0 etc (however I did notice flickering in old versions of splash pro in the same titles)

anyway here is a screencap of the issue-

any ideas? I have an i7 and 5850, is there some setting I should configure or is this a problem of Splash Pro itself?

I realized too, but I thought it is because of the bad compress of the file.

hrmm well the issue is not there in other media players such as VLC when playing the same files, seems to be a Splash Pro problem only

Does the issue occur in SplashPRO without motion2 enabled?
This artifact looks a lot like a frame interpolation artifact from Motion2 trying to guess what the intermediate frames should be. The reason it doesn't happen in VLC is because it is not doing any processing on the video, simply playing it.
