Great News made by Mirillis on Facebook (20.02.2015):

"Hope you are as excited as we are about this news. Splash player will be back this year with totally new interface and features! Next version will include 4K support, exporting queue, extended subtitles support and more. Stay tuned!"

What are yours expectations guys?

I'm excited, I hope will be worth this long wait. I'd like that new player keep the same hardware specs, at least for 720p/1080p files. I guess that some of the requests we've been posting along this years will be integrated in the new player.
I don't know if we will have to pay again, but this wouldn't be a deal breaker for me.
I hope the new version will be a success, so we keep getting more support, updates, new features and improvements. I'll spread the word!

Hi radi, I assume that you can't give us a release date, but at least could you point if it will be on 2015 Q2, Q3 or Q4 ?

I hope that new version will fix/improve/suport:

- TrueHD/Atmos in MKV not only mts.
- (DTS-MA)7.1 sound is shown as 5.1 in Information option (Audio Type)
- Audio controls 7.1 Settings (settings are only for 5.1)
- DTS:X (http://www.dts.com/news/articles/2014/1 ... sound.aspx)
- Windows 10 with Directx 12
- improved Light Bost/Motion 2

It's really difficult to provide such information at this moment. I guess it will be Q3 but this is only a guess.
