10 bit needed asap!

Fri Dec 02, 2011 9:13 am

Unfortunately, Splash Pro is currently useless to me as just about ALL anime releases are now 10-bit. I read in another thread 10-bit support won't be included for a while, but it is needed now for us anime fans. I am sick of being forced to use k-lite/media player classic for the past few months! Is there another good player like Splash that supports 10-bit?

Please help. Thanks.

I agree, if it is not possible to add support for Hi10p, then allow the use of external codecs (as with DivX).
I am also looking for a replacement for Splash pro that supports hi10p, out there heard anything about Korean player, but without results. :(

Meanwhile, the anime fans have to sit and watch a green screen or load up another program that will at least run 10-bit video. It's a shame this format is already prolific on the scene, yet this player doesn't support it and won't support it for a long time. I mean, even the crappiest of players will at least play 10-bit videos, yet this one doesn't. Isn't this supposed to be a media player first and foremost?!

I fully agree. Anime content is huge and a lot of people use Splash pro for "all" their media needs so this has to be made asap. Almost every other media player out there already supports it. This should be priority #1 for Splash pro, after all, this is a media player right? And as far as I can see, you aren't appealing to the anime and mpeg2 feed customers. Instead of working on other products, how about make your flagship media player support something that has been needed for a while now.
