No kidding! So much stuff is only 10-bit now! This is infuriatingly frustrating!

Good Lord! This is taking forever... please add 10-bit sooner than later.

Currently there's no release date for 10 bit video support.

Sigh, then please suggest a comparable player so we can watch anime. It's been since about summer 2011 that 10-bit took over the anime scene and I am sick of seeing a green screen whenever I try the newest splash pro updates.

Sigh, then please suggest a comparable player so we can watch anime. It's been since about summer 2011 that 10-bit took over the anime scene and I am sick of seeing a green screen whenever I try the newest splash pro updates.
I stopped using Splash Pro for the following reasons:
- No support for my video card (GT240), hardware acceleration always grayed.
- No native support for 10bit video.
- The subtitle support is sad, I have to forget the ASS format styles.
- No native support for various types of containers, I want a universal player.

************************************************** *********************************
Forced by necessity, I started to look for a player that is similar to Splash pro, especially Motion2 function. Thus I found Daum PotPlayer, multiformat player with internal codecs and video support 10bit. It also has the function Motion Blur, which increases the framerate x2 original source. It has full support for subtitles styles and animations. And it's free.

I use this portable version, I have the player set as my needs, for example: I do use AC3Filter for any sound source, in addition to a mix of stereo to 5.1 channels.
I use cut filter for the subwoofer that has the AC3Filter, until I build a filter for that specific purpose.
I also use the Sharpen function to improve a little sharpness.
I have a one year using this player without problems.

PotPlayer has a lop of options, but it doesn't have anything similar or as good as SplashPro motion algorithms.

Not True, actually! You can do the following and it works incredibly well!

1. Download and install SVP (Smooth Video Project) here: (grab the FULL version!). Set it to start with Windows (look for tray icon)

2. Install Potplayer: (right side has download link, grab the english version)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PotPlayer

3. Follow these instructions to get SVP working within Potplayer:
http://www.svp-team.com/wiki/Daum_PotPlayer_with_DXVA

If you ever want to toggle enable/disable SVP, just hit CTRL-ALT-WINDOWS-P (You can change the hotkey in SVP. Use advance view)

edit: It's best to use Splash player as your default player (it's still pretty awesome when it works) and use POTPLAYER for the 10-bit stuff (using SVP as described above). Anything 10-bit I just right-click the file and "open with" POTPLAYER. These 2 players seem to work well together (ie: whatever doesn't work in Splash, you can run in POT). I guess I'm happy that I have this set-up but wished Splash would do everything instead. POTPLAYER is definitely a good alternative but Splash is fast and the interface is easier to use.
