Splash PRO - not using 5.1?

I have a bit of a strange problem.

My speakers are 5.1 but Splash PRO doesn't always seem to use them. Sometimes it just plays the sounds through the front 2 but not the back 2? And this is with the same movie too.

I am a bit of a techie, so I know that I have the latest drivers and all of that, but I cannot seem to fix this one.

Any help? It's just an annoyance really - since the software itself is excellent.

Are you sure the source is true 5.1?
Did you set 5.1 correctly in windows? You can test it there to ensure.

Yes and yes. When I test it, everything seems to be fine. :S

No, no I don't. I have the Realtek HD onboard.


3 out of 5 plays result in the 5.1 not being correctly used.

It's really strange, but it does. If I play it once and it doesn't use 5.1, I would have to quit Splash and try again until it does - as trying to re-open the file doesn't work, I would have to actually quit and try again.
