MKVs are mostly 24/25/30 progressive. It's better to try bluray (not movies) 1080i or HD camcorder files.

PJ can you test for banding/gradients on the camcorder recorded video?

So far in 24fps movies I am seeing banding in certain scenes. I know its not this thread related but just getting back to you on that. Thanks.
