Splah PRO uses hardware acceleration with new released AMD A10-5700 APU processor ?

I bought the AMD A10-5700 processor(IGFX ATI Radeon 7660D) with ASUS F2A85-M motherboard and 4 GO AMD RAM (1600 HZ) .
I installed the new hardware , OS WIN 7 HP x64 , the 12.8 Catalyst(1080p HDMI on Panasonic plasma) . BUT WHAT A HELL ????
When I play video files in Splash Pro wth video acceleration (Avivo) the image is like crap .(see attachement 1)
When I play without hardware acceleration everything it's ok ( CPU at 50%)(see attachement2)
I must say that this things happens also in WMP and PowerDVD 12 . Any ideas ???
It's anyone out-there with my problems???

Have never seen such problems... But maybe this is related to postprocessing (they like to call it "enhancing video quality") in Catalyst (it applied only when h/w decoder is used). Try turning it off.

Yes , I think I hahe (12.8 Catalyst , installed from motherboard DVD , see attachement)
It's possible to be something defective ? (motherboard or APU)

I'm sure i saw it somewhere. If it would be all the time on screen I'll say it's by cable. Did you tested other videos? Try test some 1080i - 1080p settings. Try uninstall drivers completly and install beta 12.9.

Looks like graphical artifacts, I imagine you would see purple triangles all over the screen when playing games to.

This can be caused by drivers, upgrading to AMDs latest beta catalyst drivers may help.


But the more likely cause is that your GPU is over heating, you can check this by using an application called SpeedFan

You should get a screen looking at that, my PC is particularly well cooled, so your numbers should be higher, but if your GPU is running at 80c+, then you are indeed in trouble




Overheating is a likely explanation as:
1. Overheating causes weird artifacts on your screen (just like your experiencing)
2. It only appears during heavy work load (like playing a high res video) (this causes more work for the GPU, so if it isn't properly cooled, overheating)

Hope that gets you on the right path!

If its overheating it can be just a matter of tightening the screws on the graphics card cooler....

If it was the cable/monitor, then he wouldn't be able to take a screenshot of it
