Video - aspect ratio?

Good day,

I haven't been able to find an option to choose the video's aspect ratio, i.e. a way to enforce a specific aspect ratio such as 4:3, 16:9 or custom.

Many movies are incorrectly mapped to 16:9 or 4:3 formats, hence showing a poor rendering quality, and I want a way to specify the adequate aspect ratio. This is not the fullscreen aspect ratio which is based on the screen format.

Please advise where to configure this. Thanks.

Splash does not offer a feature to force a specific aspect ratio for a selected video file.
We try to improve files handling to provide always the proper aspect ratio.

yes, I have a trouble about this too..

because I'm still using a square monitor which have a resolution 4:3

can't splash have this feature too? like VLC did.

I hope splash pro can have this feature because I like it very much but can't help about black border around video..

We plan to improve aspect ratio and pan-scan functions in future versions of Splash.
