Issue of playing HDWMV over network

Thanks to the Motion2 tech and splash pro, it made playing video on my PC just like on a hi-end TV.

However, I found that when I tired to play some HD WMV with bitrate of 6000Kbps over network share (SMB), the player may fill buffer for few second after seeking as I can see the network throughput raised from about 600KB/s to 4MB/s, and then plays smoothly for few second but slow down the buffering (300KB/s), finally there is a sudden pause of screen will be made, and the network throughput raised to fill buffer again.

No matter if I enable motion2, the problem remains same. Such problem will not occurs when I copied those files to local HDD, but I don't think it is network speed problem since I am using Gigabit Ethernet for connection and the maximum throughput over SMB would be 90MB/s. I got no problem even I tired to play an Blu-ray iso located on the network.

As I observed, Windows media player will only consistently read the file with certain rate, says 700KB/s, instead of falling into the cycle of (stop and read)->(wait until buffer was drained)->(stop and read). Therefore WMP plays those HDWMV files smoothly. BTW, MPC-HC plays smoothly as well.

My PC config:
CPU: Intel Q9400
Chipset: Intel X38 + ICH9R
RAM: DDR3 1333 2G x2
Graphics card: nVidia 9500GT

Splash Pro: version 1.7.0 , trial mode

Hi, this probably should work fine when we will add a buffer option in Splash settings.
Increasing buffer size should solve a problem.
We plan to add this feature in future updates.

Problem is not fixed yet, since 2 years.
Still having problems playing HD WMV files over network.
When can we expect a fix?
