phpBB is worst forum engine ever created. Bugged, full of backdoor holes and exploits. This engine is old like mammoths excavations. There are many better engines than this one, and I wonder why mirillis staff is using this old crap. Someone with basic skills can easly access Admin Panel through bugs in phpBB. Also many spambots can easly bypass all security stuff included in phpBB.
Guys... Invision Power Board, vB, or something for free, but not this phpCRAP.

Since all new spam is in the new "Splash translations" forum - maybe you forget to add such rule to it?
