Full SSA Subtitles support?

Sun Jan 10, 2010 1:12 am

Is there going to be full SSA Subtitle support for SplashLite in the future?

At the moment Splash Lite can display them, but not more than one at the same time. Sometimes the Text doesn't fit or is at the wrong position because the Style of the Subs are ignored.

I'm hoping for the best.

... dreaming about GPU accelerated animated subtitles ...
I think now tags and style are just ignored - only text & timing. So they shown like if they were .srt subtitles.

I asked the same question -
Ghost wrote:ASS/SSA full support is planned for a future releases, there will be also more settings for subtitles. But this will be available in the future.
Also I used Aegisub so I understand how many things there are to do... But I hope that at least style and aligment&pos tags (as the most common things) will be realized...

Ah, good. I didn't search in the Info Topic.

I'm looking forward for it. :D

The worst thing at the moment is that if the text is too long you can't see all of it.

Suggestion: If Subs are to long, change the size of the Font.(For all types of Subtitles)
