video player

How can I get DivX Plus Player to stop making itself the default video player? Every time a new version install after it automatically downloads, I have to re-set several video file types to play with WMP. I like DivX for it's codecs but hate it as a video player. It's even worse that it makes itself the default player, & even changes the file types' icons.

Right click on a video file (for example an AVI) choose Properties and set the correct association.
Or you can use a registry editor to mod extensions associations, but it is more difficult.

I hope The Guys will make an option to re-set the associations, include a command line parameter to do that. :)

you can also UNINSTALL DIVX and install the updated version which allows one to skip installing the player
