Hang while streaming MTS file

Two scenarios, one works, one doesn't and I'm not sure why.

Scenario 1:
I have an MTS file on the desktop of computer A. Splash Lite plays it cleanly on computer A.

Scenario 2:
I copy the same MTS file to the hard drive of computer B. Computer A has computer B's hard drive mapped as a network drive. If I try to play the file on computer A from the mapped drive on computer B, it plays about 2 or 3 seconds of the file and then freezes.

I have a high speed connection between the two computers and can cleanly stream large Quicktime (.mov) using the same scenario as 2 above, so I'm fairly certain it's not a bandwidth issue (and even if it were, I wouldn't expect Splash to hang).

Any idea why Splash Lite might run the file cleanly in scenario 1 and not scenario 2?

Thanks!

Hi, what is this high speed network connection between PCs? (wifi/ethernet/gigabit ethernet)
