Playing on extended monitor

Thu Dec 17, 2009 10:46 am

When I connect a second monitor(HDTV) to my laptop, and I set it as extended, and drag and drop Splash Lite 1.05 window to extended desktop, Splash doesn't show any picture(just sound). Is there any option to play it on extended one? Thank you.

Hi,

On WindowsXP Splash uses video overlay surface for rendering video. Video may be rendered only on one display when video overlay is used and secondary display is set as "extended desktop".

Currently there are 2 solutions to this problem on WinXP:

1) Set your 2nd display as clone/duplicate (an appropriate options should be available in graphics card control center)
2) Set your 2nd display as "Use this device as the primary monitor" in Display Properties window. Please note that all desktop icons and windows toolbar will be moved to second display, and Splash will render video only on the second display.
