Really?Try MPC-HC,DivxPlusHD,DaumPot,Nero,which play fine mkv fullhd(16 ref) even with radeon hd3200.Splash not.
well, you are talking about different things, no other player using Avivo and PureVideo for acceleration, this is uniqless of SPlash. MPC-HC and others are using DXVA or CUDA for this. it's different way of acceleration but yes, it can accelerate videos with big reframes.

Nvidia PureVideo - the bit-stream technology from NVIDIA used in their graphics chips to accelerate video decoding on hardware GPU with DXVA.
UVD (Unified Video Decoder) - is the video decoding bit-stream technology from ATI Technologies to support hardware (GPU) decode with DXVA.
Desktop (Intel i7-970, ATI 5870, Windows 7 x64)
Acer Aspire TimelineX 3830TG (Intel i5-2410M, nVidia GT540M, Windows 7 x64)
PS Vita, Nokia N8

this is nonsense. anyway Splash is using other technologies than MPC-HC or DaumPot Player.DXVA is DirectX Video Acceleration and have nothing common with Avivo. They both using GPU for acceleration but DXVA can't use GPU for maximum but Avivo can.

но разве DXVA = AVIVO?

Really?Try MPC-HC,DivxPlusHD,DaumPot,Nero
MPC-HC worked in the past fine and did GPU decoding like Splash. FullHD MKVs used CPU. Dunno why, but now it crashes. But that's not important here.
DivxPlusHD doesn't use GPU decoding for me.
I haven't tried DaumPot yet. And I have my reasons to not use Nero.
(S)Mplayer crashes with 1080p MKV + GPU. Other files work fine.

Still, it works with SPlash and I'm happy about that.

Hm... I got a different DivX Plus Player Control Pannel. I don't know why. But it's the newest version.
The MPC Video Decoder says "Not using DXVA ATI Radeon HD 4600 Series (4098)".
