Hybrid vga trouble

Tue Apr 19, 2011 11:36 am

Hi Mirillis,

First of all, great job on your splash player. I've enjoyed testing the hardware acceleration of free version

Recently, I got a Hybrid enabled laptop, the Sony Vaio VPC-CA16FG. Unfortunately, Splash only seems to use hardware acceleration of the intel graphics adapter in this laptop, instead of using the much more powerful AMD radeon 6630M.

I realize that using the discrete video card will use more energy on my laptop, however, I am also interested in perfect playback and performance at certain times. Perhaps you can allow the user to choose which graphics card can be used for HW acceleration.

thanks,
Sony Vaio VPC-CA16FG , with hybrid system, i7 2620M, Ram 4 GB. HDD 500GB AMD Radeon™ HD 6630M / Intel® HD Graphics 3000 Dedicated Video Memory 1 GB DDR3, Win7 Sp1 64bit

What is a good VGA cooler for a low profile graphics card? I have a PNY GeForce 8600 GT low profile graphics card, and I want to get a VGA cooler. Suggestions?
