Compro M1F

Wed Jan 13, 2010 7:25 am

Firs, i would like to thanks the Mirillis team for a job well done. The player is exactly what I was looking for: great video capabilities, smooth, clean and ergonomic interface( the best till now in my opinion), and dosen`t require any special codecs). I know it`s a relatively youg player so i would like to make a few sugestions:
- a better compatibility with tv tunners.I have a PCI compro M1F that is not detected.
- An option in the subtitle menu to manually select the char-set.( i use romanian subtitles and some characters are displayed incorrectly). In the "encoding" sub-menu the only option available is "system default" .
- Some hot-keys support.
- Command line options . It would be nice if i could use it as a default player for everything including XBMC( as a plugin for external video playback ).
Well...that would be all.So far ...so good.I am really excited to see the PRO version especially because of Motion² and video upscaling. Sorry if my English was kinda bad but I`m not a native English speaker. Have a nice day.

Hello murasaki, welcome to our forum!

Thank you for your suggestions, currently all your suggestions are included in our plans, however we probably cannot support your TV tuner model. We are sorry but we are not planning to support analog tv tuners at the moment . DVB-T and ATSC-T will be supported.

Oh well... it`s not that big of a deal...i`ll just have to use the internal program provided by compro. By the way...the new version seems somewhat faster than the 1.1 and so is the video playback. I love it! I really hope you won`t make the same mistake as most software manufacturers: to fill-it with bloatware and function that 99,9 of regular users won`t use. Keep-it lite and the popularity will keep rising!
