Ah, I hadn't done any updates recently, as ATI doesn't provide updates for the Mobility Radeon cards directly. But I just got the latest driver version from HP (Catalyst 9.7) and installed it - this enabled GPU acceleration again. It now works perfectly on my notebook and on my desktop.

Version 1.20 fixed this issue on my GTX260. However, the same video files are now no longer GPU accelerated on my notebook with the Radeon 3410 GPU, where the acceleration is required to make the videos even playable.

Thank you for your response! The video files have the extension "mp4". I used the WinX HD Video Converter to convert them from the "mpg" files written by my TV tuner. I converted them with WinX to "HD AVC" files using all-default settings and enabling the "Use High Quality Engine" check box. I just ...

I use Splash Player Lite 1.1 on an HP dv2 (Single Core AMD Neo-MV40 1.6GHz, Mobile Radeon HD 3410, Windows 7 64-Bit) to watch recorded HD TV.
