I still have not been able to figure out a fix for Action. I've tried starting it in safemode but it will not start which is probably due to being unable to start the Action service in safemode. Is there anything else I can try?

I noticed I only have directx 11, although that wouldn't explain why I can't run old version anymore either

I only have mp4 and avi available as options, I had had issues with both of them before. I emailed support but I wasn't able to fix the problem, a update came out that fixed avi, I didn't try mp4 much so I'm not sure if it was back to normal or not so I've been using avi since then and exporting to ...

I'm not completely sure what you mean by that sorry, if you mean file output I have it set to .avi due to issues with mp4 before

Since updating to 2.0.x action will show the splash screen, and then the main screen will come up for a split second before crashing. It keeps relaunching and recrashing until I delete the process from the task manager. I've tried re-installing it, deleting the files, restarting, re-installing.. etc...
